When we get something wrong in a page, a tool or a game, we fix it and record it here: when, what was wrong, and what is right now. Entries are never removed. Typos and broken links are fixed without an entry; our corrections policy explains the difference.

    What we got wrong
    A room's hint said Britain's first commercial telegraph line opened in 1845, and the keypad answer was 1845.
    What's correct now
    It opened in 1839: Cooke and Wheatstone's line on the Great Western Railway, Paddington to West Drayton. The room and its hint were replaced, and the game's story now uses only documented dates.
