How to play
- Press Start and listen. The left pad is dit, the right pad is dah.
- Key it back on the straight key: press and hold, short for dit, about three times as long for dah. With the key area focused, Space or Ctrl work too. It learns your own timing as you go.
- On a phone, or if you prefer, choose Tap buttons and tap the pads in the same order (keys: . Z or ← for dit, - X or → for dah).
- Get the whole pattern right and the next one plays, one element longer.
- Your longest echo is kept as your best on this device.
Why it helps
Telling a dit from a dah by ear, and holding a string of them in your head, is the core of copying Morse. Echo trains both, and sending the pattern back trains your hand too.
