How it works
This tool uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition (the Web Speech API) to transcribe what you say, then runs the text through our Morse encoder. The transcript is fully editable, so you can fix any misheard words before playing or copying the Morse.
Good to know
- Voice input works best in Chrome and Edge. On Safari and Firefox the mic button is hidden and you can type instead — the conversion still works.
- Speech recognition sends audio to your browser’s speech service.
- Playback defaults to 20 WPM at 600 Hz, a comfortable practice speed.
- Speak clearly in a quiet space for the most accurate transcript.
